Today’s Secret: There is a Latin prayer that takes place: Spiritus, convenientibus terra viventium. Restitue animam et corpus. Benedictus in sæcula. Gratia. Misericordia. Amor.

Roughly translated it means: Spirit, join the land of the living. Restore the body and the soul. Blessed forever. Love. Grace. Compassion.

(I don’t want to spoil anything for you following along!)

Today’s Song: If there is one song that would be “Starling’s Song” My Immortal would fit the bill. Starling was an incredible character to create. In trying to empathize with her struggles I would listen to this song while writing.

Thank you for all the love and support. I hope you enjoyed learning about some of the secrets of Savannah Sacrifice!

Today’s Secret: I love Latin. Often in my books I use the language to hide clues for my readers!

When Starling visits the cemetery she is met with a headstone that reads, “Avi Mortem.”  In Latin, this means Bird of Death. If you know the secret, it can change your reading of the book.

The Catharterian’s motto: Mortem. Genus. Honor.

Translates to: Death. Family. Honor.

This Week’s Secret:

The Bonaventure Cemetery, a major setting in Savannah Sacrifice, is reported to be one of the most haunted places in the entire country. While researching the book, I came across a few pictures of one of their reported ‘ghosts.’ My favorite, a ghostly dog, made an appearance in the book at the side of with my other favorite ghost*, Gracie Watson!

Today’s Song:

Today’s song is a bit darker than the last post, but it was a key song when I started looking for characters to build and weave into the story. I loved the line: “Only one sure way to bring the giant down…”

From there it was easy to write a story about enlisting ghosts in bringing down an enemy!

Here’s a lighter one! I hope it makes you tap your foot! J

I am looking forward to seeing you next week!

Savannah Sacrifice (like it predecessors) carries many, many secrets. Some of the secrets are fun, some are deliciously wicked, but guaranteed you will love them all! So, grab a seat, remember to follow my blog and get ready to learn more about Savannah Sacrifice!

Today’s Secret: In the book there is an evil ghost named Edward. This was the photo I used in creating his character. He just looks like a pain in the neck, doesn’t he?

Bonus Secret*: Three covers were created for this book. Select members of my Street Team (Join the Team here!) were asked to vote on their favorite cover. In the end, their vote trumped mine and the favored cover was selected! They did a stupendous job! Thank you to my most devoted fans!

Today’s Song:

A major theme in Savannah Sacrifice was the mood and soul of the South. You will notice that this song (Rock Me Baby) is mentioned in the book! I hope you love this song as much as I do!

I am looking forward to seeing you next week for another secret!
